Allow me to introduce myself – I’m Alexia Paphitis, born and raised in the vibrant city of Nicosia, Cyprus. First of all, the four-legged beauty in the photo with me, is my loyal doggie, Jax. ♥

Growing up in an artistic family, creativity has always been my passion – from doodling as a child to jamming on the guitar in my teens, and always carrying a sketchbook through university. I studied Social and Political Science at the University of Cyprus, but honestly something just didn’t click.

Lost in a society driven by money, I realised the importance of making time for the things that truly sparks joy. That’s why when the opportunity to work as an art teacher presented itself, I seized it eagerly.

Art and design have this amazing power to bring light into the chaos of the world. During the lockdowns, I dove into new creative techniques like embroidery and painting, and ended up falling head over heels for graphic design. I took a course, got hooked on UI/UX, and spent hours playing around with Figma, learning how to create experiences that truly work. Now, I’m pumped to keep learning and applying these skills to design things that really make a difference and help solve everyday problems.

I’m currently studying to get my Masters degree in Interaction Design vi Tallinn University, with an aim to deeply achieve my goals in being a specialised professional in the field of UI/UX and Interaction Design, while taking up a course in digital 3D modelling, sculpting, texturing and animation through CADA University. For my practice in my Masters I’ve chosen to experiment more in Content Creation, for which I enrolled in Scott Max’ Master in Digital Marketing and Business to dive into the field of digital marketing, SEO and Web Analytics.
